Privacy Policy

Kickwise ("the app", "we") is a football companion that uses AI to explain matches, lets you predict against the AI, and shows live scores. We are built around data minimisation. We collect as little about you as possible and never ask for more than a feature actually needs. This policy explains what we handle and why.

No account required

You can use Kickwise anonymously. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for personal details such as your phone number, contacts, photos, or precise location in order to use the app.

If we ever offer an optional feature that asks for limited personal details, at most your name and email (for example, to contact support, send you product updates, or join an optional program), providing them is entirely your choice. They are never required to use the app's core features, and we use any details you do share only for the specific purpose you provided them for.

What we process

An anonymous app ID. On first launch the app generates a random identifier (a UUID). It is not linked to your real identity and is used only to keep your predictions and your "you vs AI" score consistent across sessions.
Your predictions. The picks you make are stored on our servers so we can grade them against the result and show your score.
Usage counts. We keep a daily count of AI requests per app ID to enforce free-tier limits and prevent abuse.
Your chosen team/club and language. Stored on your device to personalise the app.

AI features

When you ask for an AI explanation, summary, or prediction, the app sends the relevant match information (teams, score, and events) to our AI provider, Amazon Bedrock, to generate the text. This does not include any personal information about you.

Game Center (optional)

The leaderboard is powered by Apple Game Center and is entirely optional. If you choose to compete, your ranking is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We submit only your fair, pre-match win count.

Subscriptions

Kickwise Pro is sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card or payment details.

Third parties we rely on

Apple: App Store, In-App Purchase, Game Center.
Amazon Web Services: hosting and the Bedrock AI service (US East).
API-Football: live scores, fixtures and stats.
Google News: public news headlines for your team.

We do not sell your data, show third-party advertising, or use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

Where data is stored

Predictions and usage counts are stored on our servers hosted with Amazon Web Services (United States). Your team, language and app ID are stored locally on your device.

Your choices

You can use the app without AI features and without Game Center.
Deleting the app removes the locally stored data from your device.
To request deletion of predictions tied to your app ID, email us (below).

Children

Kickwise is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date will change accordingly.
